Dispenser of God

My grandfather was a Methodist circuit preacher. After 37 years he was given a long service award. But what does service mean? How do you serve God?A server or servant is literally a “through dispenser”   Gk dia konos.  They are someone who dispenses something through them, to others.  So a teapot is a dispenser of tea, a Christian is a servant or a dispenser of God . One serves tea and the others serves God respectively. He is the Treasure within us, ready to be poured out to others.He’s not trying to keep you the vessel in the china cabinet to serve the Queen who may never come. He wants to use you to pour out to the guy at work, who has trouble with his teenagers and difficulties in his marriage. Once Paul was on board a ship caught in the storm and threatening to sink. The men were in trouble, but God had a vessel on the vessel. God gave assurance to Paul that the men would not perish and Paul becomes a vessel of life in the midst of storm of death.

Friend, every time you’re in a situation where there’s trouble and people are up to their neck in foaming seas and waves, you are the vessel in the vessel, and God wants to pour you out!
