Just Love
Before Jesus came and Holy Spirit came to live in us, we were guided by our conscience to do the right thing. With Jesus within us, we have grace and the love of God to guide and motivate us to do His will.
We now can do the things we should because we now love God and love people.
If I had a baseball bat and said to two friends hit me with the bat and one said “No it’s not right” and others said “no never! I love you!” I would be safer with the second friend! Jesus didn’t move in healing because it was the right thing to do; Jesus had compassion – he loved! So in marriage, we act not because it’s the right thing to do, but because we love. We don’t attend church or life groups, because it’s right but because we love Gods people.
Friend, rules do a very poor job at keeping us moral or kind or longsuffering or selfless but love will do it! This is why people who have not bonded have no meaning for accomplishment and work. If a man works to get rich; to heap up riches it’s not a good motivation, but a whole person works for people they love. It may be the family, the grandkids but even more than that, the way they live is to please the God they love.
