Tell on Sin
Tell on sin or it will tell on you.
You will pay the price now of a little humble pie or you will pay later. Never keep secrets with Satan.
If your personal moral authority is compromised so badly, you are unable to break through, you should ask another, who still has the authority and confess to them your struggles. Sometimes the best thing we can do is develop a monitored life. This means asking someone to ask you regularly how you are doing and if required even installing a porn blocking program on all your computers like K9 and ask your wife to make up the password.
God knows we live in a very fallen world and that it takes a constant life in the Spirit to live above immoral thoughts and acts. In other words, God is taking a risk and we are at risk of falling. In life, there is always a risk and so we have to manage risk. Like being a Doctor in the hospital ward full of superbugs you have to manage the risk well, or you could get the disease.
Don't allow condemnation to get you. When lust-full thoughts come we resist the temptation of the devil and when lustful memories surface, it may be the Holy Spirit raising them like dross to the surface so that “skim them off” by reinstating Christ’s Lordship over that area “Lord I choose you.” Jesus was tempted to say no to the will of God and he was tempted to fear, but He said: “I choose your will Father.”
Sin is always deceitful. Sin always destroys your conscience, your relationships, your fellowship with God, your marriage and your family. Sin is always discovered but confessed sin is always forgiven.
Friend, decide to live an accountable life; accountable to God, your spouse and a close friend. If we have relationships of love, we can do it. You‘ll be literally glad forever, that you did.
