Follow God
The Psalmist said, “He leads me in paths of righteousness for His own names sake. Of course "righteous paths" are the only paths God walks in and therefore it is plain that we will never be able to follow Him, unless we are ready to walk in paths of righteousness too. When Jesus said "Pick up your cross and follow me," He was saying, “There are places I'm going to go, that you will not be able to go without the cross. You won't be able to give your life a ransom for many. You won't be able to serve and be content with no reputation. You won't be able to be misunderstood; taken for granted betrayed and still keep loving, unless you take up your cross. I’m going to walk past that TV show, I'm going to leave that movie and you won't follow me without a cross. I'm walking in the light and for you to walk with Me, you will need a conviction that your only path is a path of righteousness too.”John says we only fellowship with Him as we walk in the light. Some of us are content with relationships when we are called to fellowship. The sceptre of Kingdom authority is only given to those who hate iniquity and love righteousness.
Friend, we need to know the identity of the anointing. It is not running, falling shouting, getting rich or having a good looking wife; it is a life lived in righteousness, peace and joy in the power of the Holy Spirit.
